Badger Spring Opener

Yesterday was the Badger fly fishers Spring Opener. On The Creek had a booth and had lots of fimiliar faces and plenty of new faces stop by and say hi. It is always a good day when you get plenty of like minded folks together to talk all things fishing. The best of the day for me is reconnecting with guys I haven't seen in a while and sharing some good laughs over the adventures and misadventures of the pass seasons. Thanks to all who stopped by and we will see you On The Creek soon enough.

WIne Tasting.

 So here at the shop we have a customer who turns out is in the business of selling wines to distributors. He asked if we would ever consider having a wine tasting here at the shop, my reply free alcohol ....lets do it.
  We decided to get some cheese and crackers, cook some fish, and some pheasant. It was our small attempt to bring a little class to the shop, not the usual beer drinking fly tying night!
 I think it went well and folks seemed to enjoy the evening. I will say this good god my head hurt the next morning!!
